I just feel.... deflated.

I don't know what the deal is with this week, but I've just been feeling DOWN. It could be the weather - we went from spring/summer-like conditions straight back to winter... gray and rainy and cold! I've decided that we won't actually have full-on spring until I finish the sweater I'm knitting. I'm not knitting it with any sort of deadline in mind, but I think that's what the weather thinks. The second I finish the sweater, it's going to be 80 degrees. I just know it.

I've done a little exercising, mostly in the form of cleaning at home and around the office. We got a bunch of supplies in at work, so I had to move and stock big boxes of paper and stuff. At home, we have a nasty bath tub & I'm trying to clean it. Unfortunately, there's no easy way to actually get in the tub with the shower door there, and I can only clean IT for about 5-10 minutes before my back screams in protest.

I've been thinking that I really want to join a gym. There's a gym that has two locations. The membership fee ($39, I think) includes membership to both gyms. One is conveniently located right by my work, and the other is down the street from my apartment. I'm scared to go in by myself though. LOL It's a women's gym... not Curves, but I think it's kinda like it. They have circuit training and classes and stuff, so I dunno. We're having our Admin Day lunch tomorrow, and we get to go home after lunch, so I think I might go check it out. They have really great hours, so I can be pretty flexible about going - either before work, on my lunch break or after work.. even after dinner! I'm hoping it's something that will work out (ha!) for me. I've never gone to a gym before, though.

I also need to bring back my extra pair of walking shoes so I can start walking on my breaks again.

I'm trying very hard to be motivated and excited about getting healthier, but it's just so easy to slip back into old habits. I woke up pretty early this morning, and while I could've been doing some Wii Fit or a Coach Nicole video or even just the strength training moves, I sat on the couch and played Facebook games. Not very productive - even if I did get to harvest my cranberries before they withered! lol

Don't beat yourself up about wasting time on facebook instead of working out. We need down time, too, you know. Maybe your mind and body are trying totell you to take it easy once and a while. Have you been working all out on losing weight recently? Maybe you should relax a bit more every few days and not stress out about it.

It'll pass and you'll find the energy and motivation to get back out there and really work. I joined a little competition spark team where we do our own miniature biggest loser weigh in every saturday morning. Why don't you join up, too? It might give you an added oomph of motivation!
