(i can't think of a witty title - 4/23/10)

So my work takes the admins out for lunch every year for Admin Day, but they wait until Friday so we can go home early and enjoy our weekend a little longer.

We had a lovely lunch at this place called Fuzio. I've never been there before today, but it was pretty good. I ordered the Chicken Breast & Roasted Peppers sandwich, and it was delicious. Unfortunately, Fuzio apparently doesn't BELIEVE in posting the nutrition information anywhere. I'll probably have to email them or call them to try to get some info, but in the meantime, I just entered in each thing in my sandwich individually. I'm sure my results are much healthier as far as the entering is concerned than the actual sandwich is, but I did what I could.

The sandwich is served on flatbread, and it has a chicken breast cut in half, topped with roasted red peppers (which appeared to actually be grilled on their grill at the restaurant), provolone cheese, caesar dressing, and balsamic grilled onions. I am not fond of onions, so I asked them to take those off. You get your choice of sides between house salad, Caesar salad, and their Thyme French Fries. It took me a minute to decide, but in the end, I chose the Caesar Salad. The salad was very, very simple - chopped Romaine lettuce, some grated Parmesan cheese, and the very smallest bit of dressing. It turned out there were some miniscule crutons as well, but I only had two, which were under my salad. Seriously, they were tiny... like 1/4" squared, if that. I really wanted to try the fries, though, and it turned out that they ordered a bunch of appetizers for the tables, so I sampled a couple pieces of Calamari, some of their superthin fried onion strings and a couple of the thyme shoestring fries. Everything was delicious. I broke my no-soda rule, and had a glass of Diet Coke, too.

I just got back from the grocery store - we're having stacked enchiladas. I'm kind of excited. I was a little hungry though, and I wanted a snack, so I bought a container of Chobani Greek Yogurt in the Strawberry flavor. I was kind of worried when I opened it because I'm not a big fan of Fruit-On-The-Bottom yogurt, but it was delicious. Very light flavor, and the texture was very smooth and creamy. I'm impressed. It's a little expensive ($1.25, introductory price at Safeway), but I would try it again for sure.

I did not go check out the gym by my apartment like I'd planned. I came straight home from lunch, and I didn't really feel like going back out (even though I had to go to the store), so instead of sitting on my butt when I got home, I broke out the Wii Fit, and I did some of that for about half an hour. 20 minutes of Advanced Step and Free Step (combined... about 10 min each), 10 minutes of Rhythm Boxing, and another 5 minutes of some strength training (plank... that is effing hard... and torso twists). The boy has plans, so I might walk to the gym tomorrow and check it out. I could drive, but this way, I at least get in a bit of exercise. ;) It's not that far from me, and a change of pace from my normal walk would do me good.

Great job! I love the title, too. Most of my blog titles are very original titles like, "Week 1", "Week 2", etc. emoticon
