Update on my recovery from Gallbladder surgery.

Sunday, May 16, 2010

I have had my staples taken out for a couple of weeks now and I'm healing great the doctor says. Alright so the Dr did not release me to go back to work like I had thought he would. I'm home until June 3rd until my next appointment. My husband has gone back to work so I'm stuck at home unable to go anywhere unless he or my mom takes me somewhere. I'm a bit discouraged because I haven't been able to go out and walk much unless I walk with someone. I haven't been able to drive because I'm still taking the pain pills for my hurt shoulder. I currently going to physical therapy for my cervical strain in my neck/shoulder. I had an MRI on my neck and shoulder it shows I have bursitis, and arthritis and bruised ligament. So this is why I'm in so much pain and trying to get through it all. I want to start working out but I am not allowed to lift anything over a pound above my shoulders. I'm a bit worried because I have gained 12 pounds since I've been home and now back at 232lbs. UGH! I know it is due to lack of moving around and taking in more calories than I burn off. I have slipped up some on my meals and eating out of being bored at home! I guess owning up to my mistakes will help me move forward onto getting back on track. I'm still want to get to my goal weight which seems further way now. This is where I pick myself up and say YOU CAN DO IT!

Well, my gallbladder is coming out next Monday - not very exciting. Hope you are feeling better each and every day! The weight will come off quickly once you are more active!

Glad you are on the mend. don't be stressing right now, you will be able to get back on track when you are released to be able to walk. try to start posting your food every day, once you see what your intake is, that will help you keep it in line more.

    Glad you are back!

Good luck on the recovery. I have had both my appendix and gallbladder out (thankfully a few years apart), and I sympathize... I still get Bile Reflux into my stomach, which causes a few problems... something I've had to deal with again on HCG and the limited eating (though it doesn't seem to be a problem right now)... I do hope you recover quick and are feeling great in no time! :)
