Goin' RAW !!!

Tuesday, June 01, 2010

Okay, so take all my past blogs and roll them up, crinkle, and toss them away. lol

I would say that they all reflect on my "Preparation Stage" with getting ready to plunge into actively participating in improving my spirit/mind/body. Today, I have turned over that new leaf and make myself fully committed to the raw food lifestyle. So now, I can believe with certainty that I am now in the "Action Stage" with living good health awareness. For the next 15 days, I am in a raw food cleanse, and I will decide towards the end what percentage I want in my weekly diet to consist of raw foods. I will still eat a little chicken and fish one day a week, and maybe one cooked starch each week. I know that my transition into this will go well, as I had similar eating habits for years a long, long time ago.

I am also making a roomy place in the house to use as my mini yoga-studio, were I can stream live video, or taped videos, of yoga classes, meditation, and some tai chi or qi gong. I've been off my cane for over 4 months now and doing okay on the elliptical. I just haven't been consistent with the exercise portion yet, as I don't want to stress myself out with my goals. I did quit smoking many weeks ago, and now I incorporate the raw foods diet. Once I am consistent with that and eating as scheduled AND I'm doing something active at least 1x/day for 20 minutes minimum, then I will step things up.

Just one small goal achieved at a time measures up later to a mountain of success!

My wife and I became vegan 2.5 years ago, but I just can't go the "raw" route. We eat some raw foods, but not completely.

    Good Luck.
