Okay, don't get too mad at me because I don't have pictures yet. My daughter (11) was taking all the pictures and didn't have the flash turned on so most of hers are very dark. My son is on his honeymoon so he can't send me any yet. I will post some as soon as I can....
BUT.... It was wonderful and beautiful and they were so happy. We danced all night and just had a great time. I was so excited that I'm in great shape and can dance all night without a problem. Made me feel pretty good about myself!
It was an interesting experience being the mother of the groom. He escorted his new mother-in-law in but they walked behind me so I couldn't really see him come in. I teared up when Cody (my new daughter-in-law) walked down the aisle. She looked absolutely beautiful.
I was choked up when they were saying their vows. He is, after all my "first" baby. He is the youngest of my three older children and is the sweetest most gently person. He's the one child of mine that would always sit on my lap and snuggle while we watched a movie. He'd still do it if he could get away with it. Now he just sits as closely as humanly possible and wedges himself up right next to me and still puts his head on my shoulder.
Right after the ceremony we dashed outside of the church to take pictures with the whole group together. Then Jared and Cody left for a little while to a nearby park to have some pictures together while the rest of the group went inside and started eating.
When the kids got back, they announced them and they walked in and he came up to me and hugged me really long and really hard. That's when the floodgates opened. My baby is married. It's so wierd yet I'm so happy. She is a beautiful girl that is fun and makes my son happy. They bring out the best in each other and I know she will cherish him always. I know my son is happy and that's all a mother could ask for!
