In the papers in the UK, there's a 16yr old girl who chose to stop her treatments so she can enjoy the rest of her life. Whenever I start to feel down over trivial things like not having had a boyfriend yet, or not getting great grades at school, I remember her and how lucky I am to have lived this long and gotten this far.

I hope that whoever reads this, whenever you feel down, think of the people worse off than you. It puts your life in perspective.

Heaven, you are a wise lady to have come to that realization so young. I honestly think that having a sense of perspective is one of the most important elements to being happy in life. It allows you to be grateful for what's good and it also gives you the power to let go of minor setbacks and disappointments.
