What happened to July?!

I had a great June--I met all my personal goals and was doing great. I knew July would be more of a challenge. First there was the 4th weekend and a trip out of town that included food (of course). Then it was a trip to the county fair for five days that included food (of course). Next it was a girls weekend to the Mall of America and meeting up with friends that included food (of course!). Between all that was swim lessons and busy summer days trying to fit everything in before school starts in 2 weeks now.
Here were my July goals:
1. To find a new DVD(s) to workout with--maybe with some pilates
I did try a few new DVDs. I liked the most recent BL Last Chance Workout, but only checked it out from the library for a couple weeks. I didn't find a pilates DVD I liked.
2. To increase my water intake (I'm still not good at that)
Yup, still not good at that. ;)
3. Continue running 3x/week
This one I pretty much met. I think most weeks I at least ran 2x/week, some weeks 3x.
4. Track food at least 4-5 days a week
Nope, didn't happen.
I must be doing something okay because through all of July I didn't gain any. I'm hoping it is that running has changed my metabolism and I can have a little more lee-way with how I eat as long as I keep exercising. That is just my theory. I haven't worked out like I usually do for a week now and need to get back at it. I haven't lost any and am about 6-7 lbs away from my goal that I had set for next Wednesday.
August is going to fly by, too. We have something going on every weekend until Labor Day. Next week my youngest turns 5, then the following week both the girls start school. I'll have to figure out a new schedule, not quite sure how the days are going to go yet.
Someday soon I hope to see the scale go down just 2 more lbs to put me in a place I haven't been for 6 years! :) Keep on keeping on . . . .
