Diets are so '90s ;)

I've "struggled with my weight" my whole life. I've done at least 4 fasting diets and lost extreme amounts on 2 occasions. But the weight has always come back. And then some.
Why? That is the question that seemed so difficult and perplexing. And defeating in itself.
But sparkpeople.com has helped me put the answer together, and it is much simpler than I ever could imagine: I DIDN'T CHANGE MY LIFE. Instead, I went into a temporary suspension of my normal life where I lost weight. Then, once I was done, the same old habits of eating and not exercising kicked in.
After only 12 weeks in sparkpeople.com, I hesitate to say I've for sure implemented some permanent change, but I feel I have. And I've lost over 20 pounds. I've not made a decision to loose weight. I've made a decision to be healthy and stay healthy. All thanks to sparkpeople.com!
