Ok, May be I was expecting too much.

Monday, September 13, 2010

I have lost a total of 46 pounds since my RNY gastric bypass on July 2, 2010. Yeah 46 pounds in approximately 10 weeks. I just expected the rapid weight loss to continue for a bit more, but after some reseach on the net, I found out my loss is fairly typical. I do need to exercise more, no correct that, not more but some. I just always have an excuse for it. Their is no magic bullet, weight doesn't just fall off, even with a gastric bypass, you still have to work at it. Even if my stomach doesn't feel hungry, there are times I just want to eat. I have to cope with the head hunger like everyone else.

I completely agree with you! I had a friend who had gastric bypass done, and she had to be super careful to 1.) just get the right amount of nutrients in since she would be full more quickly than she was used to, and 2.) break old habits.

Habits are hard to break no matter your circumstances are - good luck with yours!!

I see your emoticon has a weight to lift. So do you! Get 2 16 oz cans of food and put them by the TV. Use them as dumbells whenever you sit to watch. Pretty soon you'll be ready for heavier weights...
