The Attack of the Snack Fairy

Tuesday, September 21, 2010

Today a co-worker came around and had some extra snack sized bags of crunchy Cheetos and asked if I wanted one. I was going to say, "no thanks," but the snack fairy got the best of me and I took one. I tossed the bag on my desk intending to either throw it away or to take it downstairs to the kitchenette, place it on the "freebie" table and walk away. But, oh no, the snack fairy would have none of that. She waited about 15 minutes after I had finished my very healthy lunch of chicken, a small piece of mountain bread, 6 cherry tomatoes, and some crinkle-cut carrots to strike. When I turned around to get a file off of my desk, there they were, those delicious, crunchy, yummy Cheetos. That's when I quickly grabbed the bag, ripped it open like I had never seen Cheetos before, and gobbled them down before I knew what was happening! I got a little upset with myself, then decided that it wasn't worth getting angry and made a promised to eat lighter at dinner, which I did. So, it all turned out okay in the end; and I know that tomorrow is a brand new day, a clean slate upon which to chart my food.

She's a sneaky thing, and so cute too- I try to pawn her off on my growing son or my skinny DH! emoticon

After the snack fairy visited you, she came over to my house. I had a bunch of nilla wafers without even thinking about it. Today I will do better and so will you. Hopefully the snack fairy is visiting someone else today.

That snack fairy can be pretty sneaky but you certainly handled her.
