I'm back!

Well, it seems as though life is a journey full of checks and balances for me. I had a busy summer full of paddling, camping, working, coaching, kayaking, and many dragon boat festivals. It meant a ton of exercise, but it also meant travel and celebration! Unfortunately, my muscle bound body is hidden underneath a comfortable layer of fun!

So, autumn comes, and it is time for me to settle back into routine and real life. Time to add structure and implement a plan. I am hoping to start the next season in excellent shape, and a few pounds lighter. To do this, I am going to make a better effort at eating nourishing foods. I am not going to stress too much about it, but try to ask more frequently: "How is this food going to contribute to my good health?" If I am staring at a piece of pizza, chances are the answer will be: "It's not!"

I am going to play volleyball on a recreational team, continue hiking with regularity, walk my dog twice per day and attend Bootcamp, Zumba, Belly-fit and Yoga. I have found that I need variety to keep me interested, so I have gone the route of the punch card at several local fitness facilities. I am also going to work on improving as a coach by attending seminars, which will motivate me as well!
