Just in case you were wondering, very intense exercise defiantly will do the trick. I have been stuck around 150 for almost a year. I was eating right (tracking) and exercising but was not able to lose any weight. I was doing lots of different kinds of exercise but not the right ones for me. Finally I decided to try Jillian Michaels 30 Day Shred, I know several people who were using it and seeing results. So I got the Shred and promptly took a cold so it was several days before I felt like doing it, boy, was it tough! I couldn't get all the way through without having to stop to breath, but I kept it up. Then I joined the Shred Team here on Sparkpeople and found the 30 Day Slim down rotation put together by Jillian Michaels using 3 of her videos; 30 Day Shred, No More TRouble Zones & Banish the Fat Boost the Metabolism. I was 150.6 when I started around the first part of October, then today, October 26, 2010, I stepped on the scales and saw 147.8 for the first time in almost a year!
I can't wait to workout this evening! One of the best parts of this Slim Down Rotation is that you do different workouts and it isn't boring, hard, but not boring. Also it encourages me to eat as well as I can. After all, if I'm going to workout that hard, why would I want to cancel it out by eating too much junk? I find it very motivating to have some success and know exactly why it's working. I was on top of the food part, the exercise just wasn't intense enough. I really like that the workouts incorporate both strength training and cardio. Now I am considering getting some of her Biggest Loser videos to put in the rotation when I finish the Slim Down. I can almost do a different workout every day of the week. I have quite a few videos by various instructors but these really are my favorite so far.
