Tough holiday week

Wednesday, December 29, 2010

It's been a rough week for me. To much eating and nor enough exercising. I've gained 2.5#'s with doesn't make me happy but I will not give up. My short term goal was to lose 40# but my anniversary date the end of Jan. but that doesn't look like that is going to happen.
1. plan out my menu for each day
2. drink my 8 glasses water daily
3.get 30 min. exercise daily
4. organize my life and house
Thanks for letting me vent, I'm not happy with myself right now but refuse to beat myself up, it's a bump in the road which I will get through. Thank God for Spark people and all the great friends I've met on this site. emoticon emoticon emoticon

Tough week here, too. But, as you said, we can do it - we will. One bite at a time. Hugs!

The festive season is just so incredibly hard to cope with - all that tempting food and those yummy goodies we know we shouldn't eat, would not normally be tempted by, but cos of the season we give in and have some. Add to that all the company we are surrounded by, and not feeling like exercising when there is so much else we could be doing....

I think a lot of us have kinda dropped off the wagon, even if only for a moment or two...Trick is, finding that motivation and determination to get back to where we were pre-Christmas. Today is meant to be Day 2 of that plan for me. Fingers crossed I can do it!

Good luck, and just keep on trying. Eventually something will fall back into place and you will find yourself wondering what happened...

You are not alone. The holidays are so hard on our weight goals. The important thing is that you are not giving up. You can do it.

I don't think you are alone in gaining a few pounds during the festive season. I have enjoyed my food as well, some days doing better than others. Good on you for your resolve to get back on track - and any progress towards your January goals is good. Keep Sparking!
