Stuck but not discouraged...

Saturday, February 05, 2011

I just read the story of the frog in the bucket of cream... and I feel like I know him, except I'm kicking and kicking and not making butter! I am eating better than I ever have in my life. I'm exercising more than I ever have before and I don't seem to be getting anywhere.

I'm using the CURVES Weight Management Plan, that worked like a charm for the first 20 lbs., but since then I've been pretty stuck. Last week I was determined to follow the plan very closely, however, I didn't... and it looks like that's the problem... me! Many times now I have come to a halt right after the first 20 lbs. I'm still searching for the answers to why I sabotage myself at this point, but I know I'm missing something:( So this week I will try again to stay on track and I WILL DO IT!

On a brighter note, regardless of whether I'm winning the battle of the bulge right now. I feel pretty great. I have lots of energy and I think I'm seeing small changes in my body... So I'm stuck but not discouraged.

I sure know where you are at. It is so easy to get discouraged after the first initial weight loss. It is great that you are not giving up. Never, Never, Never give up! You will win the race with all the rest of us being winners too, because we will not give up, till the race is over.

Keep at it. You've probably just hit a plateau. Maybe you should try to increase your intensity during your Curves workouts, or try something new. Sometimes all it takes is a little different strategy to start seeing results again. YOU CAN DO IT!

That "feeling pretty good" is what keeps me keeping on! I'd hate to imagine what we'd feel like if we didn't keep up with this.

    Hang in there! emoticon
