Happy for my Gain! Now time to Lose!

After years of wanting to have a baby, I've finally gained a daughter. Now, its time to lose this weight and follow a healthy lifestyle. It's been a while since I've posted on Spark but always new that you would be here when I was ready to return.

I'm looking forward to overcoming emotional eating and those pesky sweet cravings. It may be a struggle at first but I'm ready to be faithful to my goal. If Jennifer Hudson can do it, so can I. I have a daughter now and I want to be a role-model to her.

This is my year to lose weight and as a bonus, I am going to enroll in college. This is my year!

    emoticon blog!!! Just a few tips for overcoming those urges to eat:
    - Keep water with you at all times
    - Keep good snacks around (nuts, apples, celery, carrots, hummus)
    - When you feel like snacking, get up and get active. It helps you not to snack on unhealthy foods.
