Sick Days During the Journey

This is my first SP blog. I feel that this is a function I need to take advantage of because often I would turn to food instead of facing my problems.

Today isn't a good day. I feel so sick. I went in late to work and I probably shouldn't have went at all but I want to leave early Friday and don't like to miss a lot of time in one week. I probably won't even make it to 1,000 calories today. If I do they may just leave my body anyway.

Hopefully I feel better by tomorrow so I can go to Zumba. I hate missing it. I am gonna try to make it through the day so I can go home and go to bed super early. I wanted to go swimming tonight but I will have to try it another night.

So this week I am gonna try to make all healthy choices and then kick this sickness. I can't let anything hold me back this time.

    Sorry to hear you were feeling sick! I hope you're having a better day today. We're always going to have days when we're sick or just aren't feeling motivated and that's OK. The important thing is to recognize you're having an off day and to make tomorrow (or whenever you're over an illness) a better day! emoticon

    I'm sorry you're sick! There's nothing worse than that feeling, especially when you're adjusting to a new fitness routine. you're just taking control of your body only to be reminded that sometimes, our control isn't so great!

    Take it easy and don't push too hard when you are sick and can't eat your calories. I recently had a terrible flu and I found that very gentle walking outside for a few minutes a day really helped my recovery.

    I'm sorry to hear you're sick! That sucks - just try to think HEALTHY choices which include going home if that is what your body needs. It's really hard to focus on ourselves and listen to our bodies in regards to food, exercise, and even when we're sick. Trust yourself and your body but don't just push. I know you can do this! Keep up your great work I believe in you. And I TOTALLY recommend the blogging - it helps me a ton to work through things.

    I understand completely where you are coming from. We just need to remember that one off day is not the end of the world. Get back up when we can and move forward.
