Waiting for a grandchild

Monday, February 28, 2011

My first grandchild is already a week late in arriving. A couple of months ago my daughter and I were talking about how her children would "rebel" because no matter how good of a parent you are, they will want their own way. My daughter was planning a natural birth without meds, but will instead probably have a C-section as the baby is sitting cross-legged in a breech position. As I told her, rebelling already and the baby isn't even born yet! Although my eating choices haven't been great lately, I have increased my walking as we are still trying to get everything done in her house. Mall-walking counts, doesn't it. Climbing ladders to measure windows, install curtain rods and painting nurseries should be worth a few calories.

I'm hoping for my first grandchild to be here within 1-2 years. I LOVE that your grandchild is showing who's boss!!!
