Countdown. Day 15. Preparing myself for the weekend

Another day and I'm really tired, but still really motivated to stay on track. I am going to reach my shorterm goal by March 19th. Today is Day 15 on my countdown.

Counting down to the goal date is helping. Makes you aware of the days left to achieve your goal and prepares you mentally for that task. I'm halfway there.

It also helps to prepare mentally before your meal. Having in mind, more or less, what you are going to eat beforehand helps me guard myself against other detrimental options.

Tonight, we may go out to eat, so I'm thinking I am going to order only fish and salad and no dessert. No wine, just water.

I have to prepare also for the weekend. Weekends are really bad for diets. You don't have the structured routine like in weekdays. And my kids want to eat at Benihana and I promised them since last week, so I have to take them. I will eat only fish or chicken, no fried rice. Or eat something before going there. I'll decide tomorrow.

I will exercise Saturday and Sunday as soon as I get up, so I won't have an excuse later on. Just go straight from bed to the treadmill. No thinking, just doing. Get up and step on the treadmill. I will have the sneakers and my polar ready to go.

Mental preparation is very important.

    You can always sleep with your sneakers on!! That would get you on the treadmill sooner!!! I have my best workouts as soon as I roll out of bed. It's a GREAT way to start the day! Of course, I DON'T sleep with my sneakers on, either!
