What The Heck...

I started back posting all my food and exercising. I joined the gym and diligently go 5-6 times each week. I lift weights (not heavy) 3 times a week and do 30-60 minutes of cardio each time I go. I also have a physical job (massage therapist). Yet, in the past 3 weeks that I've been doing this, I've gained 2 pounds. My husband says its muscle weight, but it is still disheartening and hard to believe.

My skin is feeling smoother and tighter. My attitude seems to be getting better, but my pants are getting tighter. How could that be if I am tightening everything up. The only time I lost weight in the past few weeks was when I splurged and had french fries the night before. How is that showing me the path to enlightenment in healthy eating. I then gained back the weight when i ate healthy, YIKES.

I am going to keep on this path even though no weight is being lost and obviously no inches. Hopefully after a few months it will all fall off at once hahaha!

I was excited when I turned 50, but being 52 seems to suck (oops sorry, but true)

    I agree... 52 sucks. LOL. Weight can fluctuate... but if you are concerned maybe have a physical. When was the last? I am sure my metabolism is changing as I am getting older. You have done really well and I'm proud of you. The clothing and scale are good tools to keep honest but it sounds like everything is in balance. It's a mystery. So many variables with stress, sleep, illness can make you retain. But better to be safe than sorry.

    Thanks for your support. It was a terrible few weeks. I still miss my Uncle but there has been so much to do with my neice's surgery and my brother's father-in-law's cnacer. It has made me realize how as the eldest I step in for my family. I feel like the obvious person as I don't have regular work hours. It has made me step back through. I am considering having Lillian come here for a week or two to use the pool for rehab and let her parents have a break. There is a lot up in the air for work for me and I don't want to limit my own opportunities.... but.... have to think on it. I would LOVE a company to come in and spring clean, lol. I managad to do my fridge and spice cupboard. Woo hoo!

    sometimes it doesn't work if you don't eat enough calories
    i will tun 50 in july and am nowhere by weight goal
    since i was going between 224 and 226
    the scal scale finally started moving in the right direction
    so my goal is gone to be to reach 215 by my birthday emoticon emoticon
