Sure nothing to brag about this week.....much!

Saturday, April 09, 2011

This ends week 5 of our BL Challenge and even though I've done all my cardio and most of the strength training required I haven't done well in the eating area! I'm very ashamed that I haven't always chosen the healthiest foods and therefore haven't lost any weight! We are still at our cabin, will go back to Fl. on Tuesday. I don't blame my eating on the cabin, but do blame myself for slipping several notches. We go out to eat so much up here and it is really difficult to always make good choices.

At least Zoey and I are doing great, she is adjusting wonderfully to my DH and I and already is "Queen Bee"!!!! She loves to be loved and cuddled and it is so good to have another dog. I want to thank my Spark friend Sharon, who does rescue in this area, for saving her for me!!!!!

I also want to take this opportunity to thank all my Spark friends who faithfully comment or "like" so many of my status'. I want you to know that I read all of them.

Thank you too for your support, love you all and really appreciate each and everyone!

Hopefully this next week I will do better with food choices.

I'm with you on the eating! I do really well and then I let it slip for a day or two. I just keep a short memory so I don't beat myself up. Luckily now my slip ups are getting less and less, but I am still full steam ahead with the fitness.

Hello Sandi, I am happy to hear that Zoey is fitting in nicely. I am sure she is loving all the attention and cuddling that she is getting. I think that you, your husband, and Zoey will adjust to one another greatly.

I wouldn't be too hard on yourself for not eating right or not losing weight. Sometimes it doesn't matter how you eat, your body will do what it wants too. All you can do is continue with your exercises and eating moderately. There will be a day that it will all show how hard you have been working.

    Best wishes to you.

    Hope you enjoy your day.

Things will normalize for you once you return home. Most important is to enjoy your time with Zoey and help her adjust to her new life. They are such wonderful companions, and the unconditional love and smiles and so worth it.

Have a safe trip home, and I can't wait to hear more about how Zoey's doing in her new home.

Being away from home is always a challenge in itself. But at least you have been exercising and that is a plus. Once you get back home with little Zoey and get into a routing, you will get back on track with eating as well. Good luck and in the meantime, enjoy the rest at the cabin! emoticon

Being way from home always changes our normal way of doing things, and eating out isn't the easiest way to stay in control. BUT Zoey has brought new purpose to your exercise routine and that can't be bad. Walking Zoey has to be a joy! I've loved reading your status about Zoey and the inclusion of her in your routine. Good choice!

Enjoy the rest of your time at the cabin,

Glad you enjoyed the time at the cabin. You did a great job keeping up with exercises while you were away. I know it is difficult to keep your food on track when you are away from home. Once you get back home I have no doubt that you will get yourself back on track and do great.
    Have fun with Zoey.

We all have to just enjoy life from time to time and I think that is what you are doing. Everything will fall back into place when you are home. After all, you will still have Zoey to walk and that will keep you moving.

I jure enjoy hearing about her! Enjoy the rest of the time at the cabin.

When you get home, things will fall back into place for you and you will be making healthier choices. Sometimes we can make the healthiest choices available but still not the best...only the best one available.
Best of luck to you, my friend. Just enjoy the rest of your time at the cabin. Have a safe trip back to Florida!!

You're so good with the exercise, that you can allow yourself to rest on your laurels for a little while and just maintain while enjoying your rich social life at the cabin. I'll bet that your Zoey is keeping you even more active, so maybe there will be a nice surprise on the scale when you get back home!

Sounds like you're doing great on exercise, great on relaxation and stress relief and you saved Zoey. I'd say this week is still a win for you. And I know you'll do great on your eating too once you're back home.

Congrats on your exercising! You can be proud of yourself for that! And don't be ashamed of your eating habits. I'm sure it was not half as bad as my eating habits when I was visiting my family! I agree with NPA4LOSS, it's a lot more difficult when you're away from home. I'm on this journey for so long now and still find it a challenge to stick to my healthy eating habits when I'm not at home. I really need to work on that too.

I am sure you'll do better next week! New week, new start, better choices! :) I will be joining you on that goal :)
