This past week was okay. My allergies were a little better some of the time, but Friday got really bad again for my breathing. I am using the inhaler at least twice daily. This morning I woke up and my voice is almost gone. It is still cracking this evening, but hopefully by tomorrow it is better.
Last Thursday we had a bad storm go through here. One of the neighbor towns got snow. We got hail! I was at work and the thunder was so loud it rumbled for about 10 seconds right after a lightning flash. A couple minutes later, the power went off for about 45 minutes. My lunch time happened to fall in that timeframe, so I had to go find something that did not have to be heated for lunch because what I brought from home needed the microwave. I had my jacket on the whole lunch time because it was so cold.
Friday night hubby and I went to a benefit for a local hospice and bereavement group. It was nice to see the art, wine, etc that were being auctioned off. The food was good also. One of the stands we went back to 3 times. emoticon They had a live band part of the time who played nice music, but too loud. My chest already felt tight, that made it really hurt. When it got to be about 9:30pm, I told hubby that I was getting cold and the music was making my chest hurt more. I told him that he could win some tickets to next year's and I would go again. It was a nice evening out.
Saturday my husband started the grill, so I went to the grocery store and got some meat and veggies to cook. I tried two new recipes. I want to work on aestethic appearance of food serving. So for the one recipe that had an onion topping, so I put some spinach leaves on the plate, then the sliced meat, and then the onion. It looked nice, and I thought it was a nice way to add color and vegetable to the dish. Along with that, it tasted good.
Otherwise, this is another week, with sunshine but still cooler temperatures. Work is M-F this week. The gym is going to be attended also. Hopefully next weekend I feel better so as to do some more cleaning out, and probably cooking.

    I say we should pretend to be one of these TV chefs and try to present our food like they do. I think it's more appetizing than slapping a spoonful of mashed potatoes on a plate....sprinkle a little parsley and make it pretty! I think we deserve the little extras. Love the spinach, meat and onion idea. emoticon
