trouble with tracking

Friday, May 13, 2011

Well, I still haven't been the best little do-bee with tracking, but I am keeping my food intake under control, and with all the running around at work I do, I've managed to drop another 5 pounds.

I've been increasing my water intake, walking, climbing ladders, bending, and stretching at work, and let me tell you that sometimes it's quite the workout. Yes, I break a sweat, and quite often!

My feet are still having problems, and my blisters have blisters, but I invested in a pair of Crocs and some moisture wicking, breathable socks, so hopefully that will help. Only time will tell. Got 3 eight hour shifts this weekend, so I'm keeping my fingers crossed.

emoticon on the weight loss. It sounds like your job is going well and while the blisters are no fun I hope that the moisture wicking socks and crocs work for you.

Keep up the great work!! emoticon

As long as you are doing your best, don't worry about it!

Congrats on the job! That is so exciting!

As for tracking, I leave a note on my pilow every morning. I litereally take the 30 seconds to write a new note to myself every morning and leave it on my pillow. That way, it makes me remember that I'll be tracking my food, so I think about what I put in my mouth. Then, if I get busy in the evening and start to go to bed without doing it, the note reminds me. Even though I am sleepy, I know its very important to take the 5 minutes and log in my foods. Then I can go to bed knowing I achieved my goal of logging it, and I can see how I did for the day.

I realize this doesn't really help me for that day, but if I am seriously over on fat and under on calories, I will remember to take a healthy snack with me the next day instead of getting fritos from the vending machine!

Baby steps, Lady! Starting a new job and figuring out a new routine (especially in retail when it changes so often) is incredibly stressful. YOU CAN DO THIS! :o)
