Frustrated with the "new" nutrition tracker!!!

Friday, May 27, 2011

I have tried for several weeks now to use the "new" nutrition tracker. This week I have only used it a couple of times this week. I started to use it today and finally realize why I have been balking at using it. IT IS TOO SLOW!!! I have posted on just about every thread I can find and read all the suggestions for using it, but it is not improving. I have resorted to tracking on paper which has caused me to then use my WW points to track. I have been in the habit of doing both, but since I am so frustrated with the tracker have just not done it. Decided to blog my frustration and maybe someone will have a suggestion that will help. Until then................

Are things getting better with your tracking success? I've not had a problem with it, but had a couple of glitches right at first, but i think that was when they were getting the kinks out.

Thanks for the blog comment on the "new" fed nutrition guidelines:)

It has me back tracking my food so it was worth learning how to best use. Please don't give up.

I love the new diabetic tracker it is really good for us. I must admit I do not like the way to put in saved favorites. I used to hit a letter and find it. I am having to manually scroll down and that really slows the process. Other than that I love it. emoticon

I agree when I'm trying to use my favorites.....it is very slow.

When I first tried it, it was really slow, now it's faster, in my opinion. I'm sorry you're disliking it's speed!

Sorry you're having problems. I use it sometimes too. I do most of my food posting on my iphone which is just as easy. I do have problems sometimes with it when I do it on the computer but push through it since its not that often. Hope they get it figured out for those that use it regularly!! I know how frustrating it is. I came to SP b/c of logging issues on my old site!

It is slow, but hang in there with it. You can use the old version by clicking on the "Add a food" button. You can contact SP to ask for help, but also to let them know what you are experiencing in using it. Good for you for continuing to track on paper! That shows your commitment to YOU!

I love the New Nutrition Tracker and like others it took a little patience and time to get the hang of it, but sorry I have to disagree I think it is faster.

It took me a few days to get use to it but I like it now. I don't find it slow at all.
Maybe you could send SP an email and they can help you. The old tracker is still there, is it working properly?

I too have been frustrated by the "new" tracker, tried it a few times but just can't get the hang of it, I'm sure it will sink in sometime but still do it the old way. I don't find it too time consuming.

I also find it very slow but perservering with it. I am sure they will soon fix it. You can still use the old one if you prefer Marilyn.

I have gotten used to the new tracker and now I love it - especially when I can add all of the foods that I've saved in my favorites at one time (as long as they're in my favorites, obviously!) Have you got a Favorites List?
