Knocked down but not out

Yes...I know. You don't have to tell me. I keep falling off the band wagon and then having to run to catch it again. It's an endless cycle that I hope to end with this round.
I've started Phase 1 of the HCG diet. One of the moms at the girls' dance studio was doing it last year and lost a lot of weight. She was doing another round of it this year, too, and she didn't put back on any of the weight she'd lost last year when sticking to protocol. She looks really good.
When I started researching it a few months ago, I found that information was kind of vague and inconclusive, real information that is. There were tons of advertisers who wanted to sell you the stuff.
Then I found a forum support group of people actually doing the diet and there are lots of success stories. It's a great resource.
So far, I've lost 2.4 lbs and I just started on June 24. If all goes well, by August 4, I should be down 30 lbs. This will be more weight than I've ever lost on any diet ever since I started having problems losing and that's almost 20 years ago.
I'm doing well sticking to the diet and haven't been very hungry at all. I think the real kicker of it will be not getting bored with the food choices. So, I found a bunch of recipes which I hope will alleviate that. It was on that forum I was just talking about. It also had a bunch of great tips & hints for helping making the diet easier to follow. It's a very strict diet.
I haven't had a lot of success with things that require a lot of effort and a lot of tracking because life gets so busy, but this time, I have no choice. I don't want to be huge for Deanna's wedding and I have head shots that I have to get scheduled!
First week has gone well. I'll let you know how week 2 goes!
