Lesson Learned - I Hope!

My weekend started off great. The scale showed a change in the right direction. I had a really nice run Sat morning - what a difference 2 degrees make in the quality of a run. We went to the Newseum in DC and did a lot of walking. My eating was on track. I had every intention of logging in all my food for the day.
Then the kids (and adults) got hungry so we went out to eat. That wasn't too bad - I had some healthy fish tacos (no cheese, grilled Mahi Mahi and only a little guac and sour cream). I only had 1 light beer and a few french fries. I still thought I would be able to log all my food. But then several handfuls of nuts and chocolate chips (my version of trail mix - at least the nuts are unsalted & dry roasted and the chocolate chips are dark chocolate) and a DQ run later I gave up. I did not measure the trail mix before I ate it - fail. Don't even ask about the DQ (yes, it was a Blizzard, and no it wasn't a mini Blizzard). I didn't even sign on to SparkPeople on Sat because I was wiped out from all the time on my feet.
Didn't do much better on Sunday. Again it started out good and went downhill after that. Did I log my food? No! And I didn't sign onto SparkPeople either. Just got busy and didn't make or take the time to do it.
So what happened when I got on the scale this morning? I'm back to where I started a week ago. How frustrating, especially after 3 runs this week, 1 bike ride, 1 weight workout and lots of walking. So the lesson I have learned is I need to log in everything to see where I am overeating. Of course I know the answer (see the photo). Cutting back on my intake of those little critters will help me immensely. So will using the SparkPeople app on my BlackBerry to log in my food as I'm eating it.
On to a better week and a weight loss next Monday!
