Balance: If you think you can, you will!

Starting every school year it has always been a challenge to find balance. I am not sure what is different this year but I am just not stressing things nearly as much. I feel really ready to do a good job and I don't feel like I have to put the endless hours in to do the job that I had to last year. I don't know what has happened but I feel different about everything. I am more cheerful at work and I feel more centered and anchored. I am constantly doing a mental check with myself to see where I am at, and I keep hearing the word "balance" in my head. I want more balance. Maybe because I want it, I am finding ways to accomplish it. I think the vision collage from reading SPARK helped. I made a picture collage and had it printed on a mouse pad with my inspiring pictures staring at me from my desk every day. Below the pictures I put the words....."If you think you can, you will!" "I think I can, so I will" Can't wait to see how it all comes out, but for now 7.5 lbs down and a calmer happier me is a very good new beginning!

    Nice entry. Funny thing about saying you don't know what has changed but you feel calmer. My husband mentioned to me the other day that he knew I was losing weight. He could see it in my attitude. It seems getting healthier has a great calming effect on people, at least it does on me. Not to mention, how working out really makes me feel good. Thanks for the blog, really enjoyed it. emoticon
