When you're bored?

So I definitely am an emotional eater. It's something I've come to grips with in my life and am taking day to day.

I can really have a handle on it at home because I stock my own fridge, but at work it's another story.

When I get bored, I have the bad habit of sticking food in my mouth.

I really don't understand how it got there most times, Lol.
Seems like I open the hatch, and food somehow jumps in my mouth.

So my question to you fellow Sparkers is, "What do you do to keep yourself from eating when you're bored?"

This really is an issue at work, "So what do you do when you're bored at work?".

    Thanks Lynn! That's actually a great idea. Gotta get shopping so I can make some snack baggies. Thanks for taking the tiem out to reply. And MissMaudlyn, don't worry, those are great suggestions for when I'm bored at home!

    GURL, PLZ THERE AINT NO PROBLEM TO EAT WHEN YOU GET BORED, ITS JUST WAT YOU EAT THAT IS THE ISSUE.
    I WILL MAKE THIS SUGGESTION TO YOU AND IT HAS REALLLY REALLY HELPED ME WITH MY EATING.

    SOLUTION: BUY SEVERAL BOXES OF HEAVY DUTY ZIPLOCK SANDWICH BAGGIES

    WHEN YOU GET READY TO LEAVE HOME FOR EITHER WORK OR AN OUTTING GURL SIMPLY PORTION OFF (IN SINGLE PORTIONS FOR ONE SNACK ONLY) ONE BAG OF HEALTHY GOODIES. SO BASICALLY ON SNACK = ONE ZIP LOCK BAG. DON'T INCLUDE MORE THAN ONE HEALTHY SNACK IN ONE BAG B/C THIS GETS CONFUSING AS FAR AS HOW MANY CALORIES EACH BAG CONTAINS. YOU CAN EVEN TAKE A WHOLE BOX OF GOODIE SNACKS (CHEATS) AND DIVIDE THEM UP TOO APPROXIMATING PORTIONS.
    THEN I PLAY LIKE A GAME HONEY, I TAKE ALONG WITH ME BASICALLY (1) CHEAT SNACK TO EACH (4) DIFFERENT VARIETY OF HEALTHY ONES (5 BAGS OF SNACKS TOTAL) EACH TIME I LEAVE THE HOUSE.

    YOU WILL HAVE OPTIONS GURL THAT ARE MOSTLY HEALTHY AND YOU WILL FIND YOURSELF PICKING MORE OFTEN THE HEALTHY SNACKS AND LEAVING THE CHEATS BEHIND (OR AT LEAST EATING ONLY A PORTION OF THE CHEAT ONES WHICH IS REALLY A VICTORY FOR YOU BECAUSE YOU DID NOT EAT ALL THE CHEAT ONE BUT JUST PLAY WITH IT HONEY)
    REMEMBER THOUGH THAT CALORIES ARE CALORIES WHETHER THEY FROM FAT, PROTEIN OR CARBS SO MIND YOUR SNACK QUANTITIES.
    TRY TO ONLY CONSUME LIKE 3 OR 4 SNACKS PER DAY. ACTUALLY I'VE FOUND THAT WHEN MY WEIGHTLOSS COACH FINALLY ADJUSTED MY DIET, I DIDNT EVEN CRAVE SNACKS ANYMORE AND THEN I STARTED LOSIN MORE WEIGHT BUT GURL JUST TAKE YOUR TIME.

    I HOPE THIS LITTLE "ZIP LOCK BAGGIE" TRICK HELPS YOUR.
    IF YOU HAVE MORE QUESTIONS HONEY THEN JUST HOLLA AT ME, K?
    AND DON'T SKIMP ON THE ZIP LOCK BAGS, THINK OF THEIR CONTENTS AS MINI SNACKS AND DON'T RECYCLE THEM JUST THROW THEM AWAY WHEN DONE, MORE SANITARY GIRL, TRUST ME.

    Sorry my Friend, at Home when I am Bored I just take a walk down Stairs and went into the gym and do some workout, or take my jump rope and go and do some jump rope. I am not working at this time,so I don't know about work, good luck emoticon emoticon
