Our poodle was scalped

Wednesday, September 14, 2011

I know this is not about weight loss. But I am so upset and don't know what to do. On Monday we brought our toy poodle Cindy to a new groomer. The first time they didn't take enough off. This time they took everything off and even her ears were shaved and have about 1/16 th of an inch on them. Poodles are known to have nice long ears.
we today I noticed that both her ear leathers are cut in a v and they are splitting. I don't know what to do about this. When I picked her up I was so shocked and didn't trust myself for fear of going nuts. Our beautiful poodle looks now like a miniature Italian greyhound. These people say they have a groomers license. How they could do this is a shame. What the heck is wrong with people? I cant sue them. The only thing I can do is take her to the vet and hope that those jerks pay the bill. I feel so bad for the pup. She is so gorgeous. Thanks for letting me vent, but I want to swear and scream.

Oh Ilene, that makes me so mad too! My Fritz was once cut/scalped/skinned/scraped/burned(
whatever you want to call it) while grooming and I never went back to that groomer!

I bet there is a way to report it--at least to the BBB. I think they must post their license in public view go back and look for it; if you don't see it, ASK for it; demand to see it. If they don't have one, report that too!!!!!

The hair will grow back but what makes me mad is hurting her.

I'm so sorry you're not happy with your dog's cut. It's a shame bad groomers are allowed to stay in business. At the very least I'd turn them in to the better business bureau.

Oh how terrible. Take her to the vet and report the groomer to anyone you can. It could of been worse. My friend's dog apparently fell off the groomers table and broke a leg, the groomer did nothing, said nothing. My Friend found out when she got her home and had to take her in to the vet. Awful!

I am so sorry to hear this and it makes me furious! Is there some way you can report them so this doesn't happen to anyone else? They absolutely should pay the vet bill! If they refuse, I would get a lawyer involved (and make them pay for your lawyer fees!) I'm usually not a fan of court action and I'm definitely not sue-happy, but this is a case where they need to be held responsible for what they did! I hope this all works out for you!
