Farm Fresh Veges

I love fresh fruits and vegetables. Years ago I joined a coop as they touted we would be purchasing local food. One day I arrived to pick up my share and they weren't ready so I offered my services. As I was helping split the shares I ran across a box of fruit that said it was in import from Mexico. Needless to say that was the last time I ordered from them.
Years later, and tired of the crappy produce at Kroger, I started looking again to join a coop. I found a farm, probably an hour from me give or take, that actually delivers right to your front door. The vegetables are from their farm only and I especially like the fact that you can visit them and see first hand the operation, and volunteer to work should you choose. I inquired if I was in their delivery area and was. Several months ago I started receiving my veges and am very happy. I have enough to last two weeks (they deliver every other week) and I usually plan my meal around what the vegetables are that I received. Tuesday I received my new booty, zucchini, asian long beans, basil, cucumbers, spinach, an assortment of peppers (banana, green, red, yellow, cayenne, jalapeno), okra and tomatoes. This morning I'll be having some spinach with breakfast, last night I roasted some zucchini and okra in a little olive oil, salt, pepper and basil...tonight I am not sure what I'll be making with them, but I am sure it will be yummy!
