The last lbs to lose after lapband surgery.

Thursday, September 29, 2011

Oh boy, I follow the program, drink the water, exercise until I ache. But the last lbs want to stay. I might have lost weight, but I never got sweeter. I am cranky alot but have been working on my problem. I have been very strict and hard on myself. After the final lbs are gone. I might eat a cracker but as far as I am concerned the bread is out of my life. Of all the items that I gave up, it is the rice that I miss the most.

I went shopping yesterday at a new store opening. I had a 30% discount on everything and I was ready and willing to buy my new clothes. I really don't need any since I have so many, but I enjoy spending money. I also love sales. But, the clothes are from different parts of the country. Nothing was made in the USA. So, I was speaking to to a sales associate and I made a comment about it the size of the garment being so small. My son who lives in Taiwan is so tall and he always has problems getting clothes because manufacturers make things so small....Anyway. she said to me "get a size extra large." OMG she said the words extra large!!! So anal me said "oh no I wont I wear size medium. " So here I was telling a compete stranger my personal business about losing 89 lbs and refusing to try on a larger size. I guess it was ok..After all that is what I gave up those fattening foods for. emoticon

You are a sweetheart! You may think you have a crusty exterior, but you dont'. I love your sweet heart. I am so thankful to have you as a friend and inspiration. Those last few pounds will come off, and you just keep wearing a medium! I know I am the same way. I will not go back to an x-large or bigger, no matter what the clothes are like.
I admire you giving up all bread, etc. I am trying. still have a few slips, but getting better.

Keep on working hard, you'll get there. The last few pounds are the hardest but not impossible.
