Aching in all the wrong places..

I've been hitting my workouts really really hard for the last couple of weeks( 2-3 workouts per day for 6 days). I'm trying to improve my running, trying to get 10,000 steps a day for a challenge we have going on at work, and trying to burn as many calories as I can to help with my goal of " looking sexy" lol... Me and the word Sexy should never be in the same sentence but anywho......

Yesterday.. as I got ready for bed I got the most excruciating pain in my upper thigh.. Lord have mercy!!! It was like a charlie horse but in my left thigh.. Has anyone ever had that before? What the heck is that all about? This pain was paralyzing.. I couldn't move it hurt all the way through to my hip. It hurt so bad I couldn't even yell for help. It must of took about 10 minutes before the pain subsided enough for me to make it back to my bed.

I guess I need to do some research and figure out what causes cramps and spasms. Someone said it could be lack of water to my muscles??? Does that make sense? I don't know i'm just curious because lately i've been getting a lot of them. First I had cramps in both my calves which had me unable to walk without limping for about 5 days now.... it's in the thigh.. is this what getting old is all about geez!!!! Oh well.... on with the day

    yup, makes sense. i started cramping one day in random places (legs, shoulders) and my coach called me out for being dehydrated and asked if i'd had too much coffee that morning. HE WAS RIGHT!

    hydrate sufficiently and hit some mobilitywod :)

    That could be serious. You should see your doctor. Make sure you're drinking enough water. Rest is a part of training. I know you want to be faster and sexier, but slow it down. Don't want to over-train and cause permanet injury.

    Maybe you are right about the water. I also wonder if you are low on potassium - eat an banana or two to bring that back up. Good luck!
