A Special Event

Tuesday, November 08, 2011

I have a very special event coming up. I have always dreamed of going on a Mediterranean Cruise, and now I have the opportunity to go! It is a little bit of a Cinderella story, really. Just when I wasn't looking, I met somebody incredible. I have fallen in love, and now we are taking a dream vacation together in June of 2012.

On hearing about the trip, I immediately jumped into this old thought pattern that said "you'd better lose some weight before the cruise!" Woah! What happened to lifestyle changing? That seemed like my old voice in my head, and I realized that I had to quiet it. When I did that, I realized that I just had to continue on the path that I already am on. I have to make good choices every day so that I can continue to live a vibrant, healthy life with this person. I have to forget the "diet" and continue making more good choices and fewer poor ones so that I will feel good about myself every day, not just for a week on a cruise ship!

You two look like a beautiful couple! congrats on the new love relationship and the prospects of a cruise - fun to look forward to! I did that cruise a few years ago and it was one of the best trips I've ever done.

Nothing wrong with wanting to lose weight, right? Glad you are on a healthy journey to making great lifestyle choices that will stick for life. Just keep moving in the right direction and you can't go wrong.

    All the best to you.

Awww...love the pic of you two! Very sweet!

Woohoo on the vacation opportunity! Should be a great time...

Those old voices and thought processes creep up once in awhile and can take over if we don't consciously take control! Way to go on quieting that voice and deciding to continue on the path before you!

    Way to go!
