Goodbye 2011

Saturday, December 31, 2011

Well it's time to say goodbye to another year and God woke me everyday this year, with all my body parts intact so I am blessed.

On a sad note, my winter break was not all that I expect it to be, I found out in the begin of the month, my dog has a tumor, my only prayer was she would make it with us till Christmas. Well, on December 28th, I found out that we must send her to dog heaven. She has been with us for 13 years (91 in dog years), I picked her out of litter when she was 3 weeks old and brought her home when she was 6 weeks old, she is a family member. I will truly miss my China and have cried enough tears in the last two weeks to build a river. So, on Wednesday January 4th, she is scheduled for her last appointment, I figured she can party with us on New Year's Eve, she always enjoyed a good party. She will never be forgotten emoticon Please pray for my strength as I face this difficult time.

On a better note we welcome 2012, a time to rid the old and bring in the new, new challenges, goals and accomplishments. Always remember you can't just set the aspirations, you must set a path to actually achieve it.

Happy New Year to all and good luck on your journey to a healthier you! emoticon emoticon

    Oh my God!
My heart goes out to you & your family!
My Andy is 10 years old (in human years) and I know before long we will have to let him go, too. They really are family members!

Soror, you have my love and deepest sympathy.

Hey friend, I am so sorry to hear about China. WE have had our dog Coco for 13 years as well....she is a wonderful dog and we just LOVE her so I completely understand how you are feeling. It will be the saddest day when Coco dies...she has been with us since my twins were 2 years old...and they just turned 15..I am sad right along with you, our animals are definitely part of our family. I'll be praying for you!! Clarissa

So many of us are ready for a new year but we forgot the fundamental truth that you opened your blog with: We have been blessed to open our eyes, be of sound mind and adequate body for this year. Thank you for the gentle reminder that even though things didn't go the way I planned, God kept me all year.

I am sorry to hear that your China will be crossing the Rainbow Bridge. I am sure that you are saddened and will miss her. Remember the joy and love she added to your life.

May God continue to reign down his blessings on you and your family in 2012.
