The after holiday regrets

Wednesday, January 11, 2012

Ok so I took a break over the holiday... uggg.. I gained 9lbs and feel icky. I had a great time and enjoyed my family. I don't regret the break, I regret the 9 lbs gained.

I figure this though... it's a choice, it's all about what matters to you. Do you want to eat what you want and feel icky or eat right and feel healthy? Do you want to sit around and relax or get out there and move and feel fit?

The holidays were fun, got to spend time with my kids and my grandkids. I enjoyed the time with my mother. We had fun and I learned to cook some new healthy holiday choices.

Now that the holidays are over it's time to get back on track and see that scale go back in the right direction.

I hope everyone had a great holiday... so we splurged... so what? We had fun, now it's time to refocus and reaffirm what we want from life.

So today I focus on getting the 9lbs back off so I can work on the next 50.

Have a great week.

Feel great that you enjoyed yourself. Feel icky only if you gained the 9 pounds and didn't enjoy yourself!

Living is for the living. Your journey here will make that life longer, so buckle down and now that you have confessed your sin, do the penance, we forgive you, so you can forgive you and move toward a more perfect version of YOU!

Cheers to 2012! I gained 10 lbs in the past month myself. It's all good. We'll lose it soon enough. We can do it!

Exactly the way I feel about it. I knew I was going to eat traditional holiday foods going into the season so I don't consider it a "failure". It was in my plan. Glad you got to enjoy loved ones over the holidays. Now,like you said, its time to get back on track! emoticon
