Wrangling in Holiday Weight Gain (251.0)

I am almost 3 pounds down from my last recorded weight on 12.23.2011. BUT (and that's a BIG butt) I had a couple weeks where I saw as high as 256 first thing in the morning before hiding in the corner crying and eating Ritz crackers out of the box. SO, 251 feels back on track especially since I saw 249.5 yesterday. I was pleased that I celebrated wildly with sushi instead of wildly with cheese of any kind. I've never had seared garlic and albacore salad before but it is my new favorite. Just wow.
I cannot tell a lie. (Anybody else watching Lie to Me on Netflix? My husband thinks he can read people now. Man, I hope this phase passes soon.) I must confess some of my happy losses may have to do with this cold I have had for two weeks. I am almost tempted to try that weird new weight loss thing that makes you not smell your food or something. I just pride myself on not using gimmicks. Also, however, I must pride myself on not losing any d^&* weight, either.
Even though it's mostly a head cold I have stayed away from the gym for the last two weeks. I don't want to get anybody sick. I do think it is a good sign that I am itching to get back to it. Maia loves water aerobics (and pretentious third person posturing!). Especially since we are moving (closer, yay!) and I am getting exercise from carrying boxes back and forth which is NOT as fun as Zumba aquafit (Yes, that is exactly as fun as it sounds). I already pulled my trapezius from moving. I think they are just worn out from carrying my DDDs all the time. Maybe I should get workman's comp insurance for my entire upper back and shoulders. Hey, you never know when your muscles will stop working.
My plan is to keep with good portion control, get back to aquasizing next week, and continue to keep away from the cheese.
