Big Fat Nothing!

Friday, January 20, 2012

I put this update on one of the forums I frequent here but wanted to put a little update on my blog as well.

I weighed in today and lost... NOTHING. I was bummed. Then my husband wanted to take us out for ice cream but I resisted! I'm trying. It's just hard not to get depressed when the scale doesn't move at ALL. More working out for me this week. I'm thinking I may be eating too little because it just doesn't make sense. I'm totally busting my butt over here. Maybe I've sent my body into thinking it might be starving so it needs to hang on to EVERYTHING? LOL

Thank you so much for your comment. I decided to increase my calorie intake by 200 calories for this week to see what happens with my weight. It's quite possible I'm going too low. It's just that since I increased my protein I feel fuller and it's hard to eat when you aren't hungry.

There are all sorts of reasons that could be causing this. If you are busting your butt and staying too low on your recommendations for food, that can have a negative effect. Weird, but true. Maybe go look at your food and see what might need adjusting?

Thanks Run! I'm not giving up, just working harder. This evening after dinner I'm going for an extra long walk!

Thanks Lisa, I didn't exercise for a very long time so I'm sure that I'm building muscle back and that's not helping the scale move. I'm going to try to be content with the fact that I'm feeling a bit better and wait and see how things go next week. I'm going to do the measurements too. Thanks!

Try not to get discouraged. When I start exercising, my weight loss is very inconsistent. You might try tracking your measurements too. It helps me when that stubborn scale refuses to budge. emoticon
