What exactly does it take?

I often wonder how the sparkers who lost 100 lbs in 9 months did it. I really wonder what it takes to do that. Do they not mess up at all? Do they work out 6 days a week instead of the recommended 4-5? Do they follow the exact calories on spark, or do they eat much less?!
Ahhhh I'm pmsing, so don't mind me whining. I want so badly to do this the right way this time, and I want to make sure that I don't stop until I am sitting at 140-150 (I give myself the 10 because I do like some curves :x). That's 80-90 lbs from here. These people have lost MUCH more!
I will say this for myself. I started this saying "100 lbs!" and now the number is significantly lower than that. I can live with that. I can give myself a back pat. I just so badly want this, it is literally all I can think about other than school.
