Well, Here I am after almost 2 years, back at it.

I wonder how much weight I have really lost in my lifetime? How depressing to think about that. If only I could have kept it off. The 40 lbs that I lost 2 years ago has crept back on me - my own fault of course. But, CRUD, had I kept that off I'd only need to lose about 40 lbs, now I am back to 80. What a rude awakening.

So, I am at it again, this time, with God's help and both of my sister's - who are on the same journey - we will not quit. We will achieve our goals and maintain them and change our lives for the better. I am excited!!

I've always had great support, but not everyone doing the same thing at the same time. Both of my sisters, my dad, mom and I are all doing Weight Watchers Points Plus, very nice to have everyone exchanging recipes during the week and keeping everyone accountable with their daily points at the end of the evening. If someone doesn't send an email with their points by the next morning - the reminder emails go out, in a loving way emoticon.

I am on a mission to lose as much as I can in a healthy way by Feb 15th, I am going to visit one of my sister's in Amsterdam and I want to be comfortable on that LONG airplane ride. Pray, that I am a mindful eater while I am over there. I really want this to be a lifestyle change, if it is, then I will be a mindful eater on vacation as well.

    Dena, so good to see you back! I was on Points Plus for awhile and really liked it better than before, but after a while I found that I need to get back to my SP tracking where I can track everything...calories, fat, carbs, sodium, etc! :) I love the fact that fruits are 0 points, except that I was eating too much and those carbs do add up even though they are good carbs! Love those frozen grapes! hehehe! I did bring most of my recipes I had made back to SP!

    This is a lifetime thing so I decided that for me, SparkPeople is definitely the way to go! Besides with the money I save I can buy some new clothes! :)

    Glad your're back and you can do it, you already have once! We all just have to realize that this is a lifestyle choice we have to make and stick with it! It's really all about training ourselves with portion sizes, training our taste buds and enjoying our 'favorite forbidden foods' once every few months! It's funny how after a while when you decide to have one of those foods that you once loved, it just doesn't quite taste like you remembered! Hehehe!
