My transformation into who I am today started really back in 2003.

My first serious boyfriend and I had broken up right before my senior year of college was starting. I was actually at my heaviest then and it dawned on me that someone could love me for me but there was something I needed to do, especially since I was graduating and was going to enter the real world before I would know it.

It started slow, going to the Student Rec Center when I would have free time and on the weekends. I wasn't eating as much at school as I lived in an off campus apartment so I started making lunches to take, etc. I started seeing progress.

Once I moved home, my family had a membership to the local rec center and I was going there when I wasn't working. I do'nt really remember eating habits then but eventually I moved out into my own place and really started to watch food intake.

Because I lived on my own on a strict budget, I would make meal plans and not really buy anything that was snacky. I still had some kind of chocolate but in moderation and it was all good. Luckily I still had my family's membership to the rec center and my apt complex had a small workout area plus a pool for a different workout.

That's when I really noticed that my goals were being obtained.

Now, 8 years later, I'm wearing sizes I never thought I'd be in. I'm working out on somewhat of a schedule and I make meal plans galore. To this day I've lost about 60 lbs total.

It does freak me out about the future and having babies and maybe never being where I am again but I know that if I keep at it, my transformation will hopefully never alter.

emoticon You have made great changes. When babies come, you will adjust and make other wonderful changes. There are many things you can do, it is just a little different (and amazing too).

Julie your weight loss is fantastic! And as far as babies, they will transform your life in ways you could never imagine. As long as you maintain your exercise and healthy eating to the best of your ability then you'll have nothing to worry about during a pregnancy. It can be done!
