Healthy eating is easier when you go shopping more than twice a month...

I learned this today.
-Bananas are really not healthy as snacks...their really not healthy at all. Its like candy, in fruit form. At least to your body it is.
-Berry's are a lot better, except now I'm broke, because they are expensive.
-Pharmacy School (for the hubby), car repairs, and random medical bills (like the dentist) drain your money like a tub drains water!
-I thank God I have no credit card bills, however, I see my friends eating out, going to the movies, and buying great clothes, and I do get a bit jealous (until I see them slide that Chase card, and I feel a lot better!)
OK back to the weight/diet talk - I'm at 185 - 12 pounds lost so far!
I'm finding its hard to eat well, when you haven't shopped for two weeks, and all the 100 cal snack packs are gone, and sugar free 60 cal pudding is gone, and all that's left is eggs...which really are not low cal for me, because I can't just have one or two, I have to have like FIVE before I'm not really hungry. But I'm working on that..so I have a hard boiled egg and tell myself my body really DOES NOT need anymore, I'm just a PIG and want it. That makes me feel a bit better.
Here's a tip: Shop more than twice a month.
Here's a fact: Loosing weight and eating healthy is about TWICE as expensive as eating cheap, crappy food.
We spend about $300-$350 a month on food, for two people, who live pretty normal lives. This is a lot, when we used to could do it on like $225-$250...However, cheap casseroles, burgers, fish sticks, and grilled cheese sandwiches just don't seem to cut it. :/
