On Saturday morning, I went to the local nursery for a workshop on Succulent Walls and we made these very small, but cut projects...
Here is my finished "wall"...
Oh yeah and that's me without a speck of make up and after spending a couple hours in the morning mist... Oh well, I am what I am... a work in progress!
In the afternoon, we attended the first of my granddaughter's playoff games and they won... 26 to 2! I felt bad for the other little girls, but watching the kid you're rooting for is always fun and they were SO happy. My gd had made 4 points, personal best all season... We were STOKED and coming back the second round on Sunday.
We had dinner by the bay and although I'm pretty sure I exceeded my calories (I had missed my snack and dinner by that time) I figured we deserved a celebration anyway.
Sunday morning, I started the day off with Coach Nicole and day one of week for of the 28 day bootcamp DVD. Whew, it really worked me hard!!! Then watered the houseplants and one greenhouse before setting of for the second and final basketball playoff game.
The girls were tired and were playing with a substituted coach (both days). The game looked a lot like the day before only reversed. You girls mad a few baskets, but the other team was doing better. When we went into the 4th quarter, they had 13 and we had 7... and then things got exciting!!! We caught up... passed them up... they tied it up... passed us... we tied it up and sunk two three throws in the last few seconds of the game!!! My gd had four of the free throws in that last quarter and she made everyone of them. And her she is sinking the final winning basket...
I am NOT a sports fan, but I can't even express how exciting the end of this game was for me and the rest of her family! Her other grandparents, mother, and great grandmother were there. What a GREAT moment for a little girl!!! I was SO proud of our little one (she's almost 10).
Their team started out VERY slow, just got slaughtered their first two games, started putting it together by the third but still lost. After that they won all their games and now there are headed for the final game for the championship!!! Unfortunately my gd will be on the East coast next weekend so she will miss it, but this was a super way to leave her team!!!
I haven't had a weekend this much fun for a LONG time. Who knew GARDENING, EXERCISE AND BASKET BALL could be such a winning combination... certainly not me!!!
