Not Doing So Good

Thursday, March 29, 2012

I started off with so much gusto and slowly it has been leaving me. I have not been making good choices. Why did I decide NOT to work out yesterday.? I know I feel better when I work out. I KNOW I feel better when I eat good.
I seem to have alot of excuses...
I'm tired.
I'm too old for this.
My 4 yr old needs to ____. (nap, eat, go potty, etc)

I need to snap out of this. Will is not feeling well today so I am going to try to do an exercise video. I will try to stay in my calorie range today. And post on some blogs. That usually helps.....
Wish me luck!

Try breaking your workout into 10 min sessions and build up from there. I can easily talk myself out of a 30+ session because the though of it is too daunting with a busy schedule.

Don't concentrate on yesterday. It was so...yesterday. You can't change it, and you positively can not let it decide your choices for today. Every day is a new day, with new choices, and new triumphs! You can do this!

Is there any way you can find a workout buddy, someone who will hold you responsible for getting that walk in? Even if you cannot meet and do it together, it often helps to have someone who is going to ask you if you got it done. We never want to report failure to a friend or loved one.

I have my exercise physiologist at my gym. If I am not there, he asks me where I was. I do not want to let him down.

Hang in there. We all go through those phases, just stick with it and do what you can. Make the small choices and the bigger ones will come later. emoticon

Stay encouraged and try some activities with your child which can be motivating as well. I popped in a Zumba video with my 2 year old god-daughter, and helping her while at the same time trying to workout was not only fun, but invigorating. Some times changing things up is the best motivator.

You can do it! We all get that way... the difference between those who are successful and those who are not is just pushing through it. Hope that doesn't sound preachy - I need to hear it more than you do! Have a strong day!
