First I have to say that I feel great and things are going well. I have made some changes in my eating lately and even dealt well with a lunchtime stop at McDonalds. I didn't deprive myself but I didn't go overboard either! I decided that I wasn't going to
complain about the choice of location but do my best to eat better.
I knew that a salad just wasn't going to happen so I had a classic chicken sandwich, no mayo. I got the fries but ate less than 1/2 of them. My granddaughter had a happy meal and since she doesn't like apple slices (she likes apple sauce but not apple slices), I ate them. I got a diet soda which I didn't fill all the way and I added lots of ice so I didn't really drink much.
We took the food to a park so my granddaughter could run around. We ate lunch then went talking to the playground so Marlie could play. Then we walked over to the swimming area and Marlie got her feet wet in the water. She didn't want to leave. Then we walked the long way back to the car to head home. We had a great time and I got some extra exercise.
We got home and I had more energy so I had a 15 minute dance session with my granddaughter!~ She is so cute and loves to dance.
Ok so here is the deal. I have 169 more pounds to lose. My first goal is to lose 10% of my weight which would be 33.1 pounds. I have lost 12.8 so far. My first 10% will get me under 300 pounds! I have decided that the 10% route is how I am going to focus.
I will track my food daily! I will drink a minimum of 8 glasses of water every day. I will complete a minimum of 10 minutes of cardio every day! I have set a minimum goal of 500 minutes fitness minutes each month. I will also complete strength training at least 3 times each week. These are y beginning goals. I plan to reach my first goal by August 31st so I am not trying to do it all in one week! This is a journey and I plan to take it one goal at a time and not beat myself up.
I have announced to my family that I intend to reach my goals. I told them that I am taking things one day at a time and that their support would be appreciated. I think I have made it pretty clear. My husband, who weighs 140 pounds fully dressed with steel toed boots on has been bringing me fruit and yogurt to help me out. He has learned what bread to get at the store so we now eat 100% whole wheat!
I am so excited! My motivation is high and I am focused on the goal!
Thank you to all my Spark friends who leave me messages of encouragement! Those messages help so much! They mean a lot to me
