Are You Taking Charge of Your Health?

Today is Take Charge Thursday!!! Are you REALLY taking charge or are you dabbling with your health???
If you are dabbling, it is time to take charge. Get serious! Don't just sit there wishing! Get up!! Get moving! Hey put down that cookie!!! Take charge of your health!!! This is important. Get your butt out of bed!!! You have work to do!!
You can't just sit around moaning about the pounds you are gaining! Do something about it! Make a plan. Set your goals! Start moving. Remember those Fast Break goals you set at the beginning, maybe you need to dust them off and start again. Maybe you need to set some bigger goals.
Look at setting your goals like you would plan a road trip. You know where you are starting but what is the destination? What stops are you going to take along the way or What are you short term goals? Will it be 5% or 10% or will you shoot for 10 pound increments? What attractions will you check out at each stop or What rewards have you planned for reaching those goals?
What is your plan for fitness? Have you really PLANNED what you are going to do for fitness? What is plan B? You know, plan B for when is it raining and you can't take your walk. What will you do instead? Do you have your gear out and ready to go or do you have to search for it when you want to workout?
What about your kitchen?? Do you have healthy choices or junk food in your kitchen? Do you have fruits and veggies ready to eat when you are looking for a snack? Do you have snacks on hand, ready to go when you leave the house in case you are out longer than expected or need a snack? Planning ahead will help keep you on track. Planning ahead will help you avoid that drive thru run for fast food.
It is time to take things serious. Thursday is a great day of the week to check in on our plans and see if we are in charge or not. If you still haven't planned your journey and set your short term goals, NOW IS THE TIME!!!
If you haven't been exercising like you would like, turn on some music today and get your groove on! It is a great way to get some exercise and it is fun too!
