Good evening! I am running late with this blog. Sorry but I got out of the house today and just got back.
Today is FOCUS FRIDAY! The reason I chose focus is that the weekend is here and I know that this can be a tough time for some people. The weekend brings barbecue parties or other activities that could include food. When we host the party, we can control the menu. When someone else is in charge, we don't know what will be served or if there will be many healthy choices to pick from.
This is where FOCUS comes in. Today we can assess the weekend and make a plan to handle those possible hurdles. If you are not the host, maybe you could make a healthy dish to take to share with the rest of the guests.
You could plan to eat what is served but watch your portions and FOCUS on conversation and mingling. FOCUS on the people not the food.
Before you go, you could have a healthy snack so you aren't starving. This will help keep you from attacking the food table! You really don't want your spouse to have to talk you down from the potato salad! Lol
I remember when I worked full time. I could follow my eating plan pretty well during the week but the weekend was like a feeding frenzy! I ate whatever and exercise was out the window. That is why a weekly FOCUS is important. You need to have a plan. You need a plan B! Don't forget to plan your weekend fitness. What is your plan B for fitness if your plans change?
When you fail to plan, you are planning to fail!
