Here we are at the beginning of a new month! Have you set your goals for the month?? I have set mine.
1. Lose 10 pounds
2. 1600 Fitness Minutes for the month
3. 5 or more Freggies/day
4. 100 SparkPoints/day
5. To do a blog every day
6. Drink 12 glasses of water/day
I had a slight gain for last week. I gained 0.2 but that is in the past. I am in a new week in a new month and it is a new day. I am strutting my stuff today because I look great! I am wearing a pair of shorts that were difficult to put on last year. They are still kind of tight but not as bad as before. I expect to see a change in the fit by the end of the month!
So today is Strut Your Stuff Sunday! We are celebrating our successes and really taking a look at our progress so far.
Look back at your goals you set for June. How did you make out? Did you meet them all? How will you increase them for July?
Get in front of the mirror! I know, that is a big request for those of us who have shied away from the mirror for years. It is time to delve into that area of our journey. It is time to look at our bodies and see what all this work we are doing has done to change our bodies. What changes do you see? My face is slimmer. I an see a difference in my waist is smaller. Strut your stuff in front of that mirror!
Do you feel differently? I have so much more energy. I feel stronger and happier. I am starting to feel muscles that I haven't felt in a while so I know that they are toning up!!! Do you see any changes in your attitude? How about changes in your outlook on life and your journey?
Maybe the scale didn't get with the program for you as you would have liked. Did you take your measurements last month? Take them today and see the difference. I have to take mine today. I am excited to see my progress. If you haven't taken your measurements yet, do that today and then next month you can check the difference. This is a better way to track your progress.
How did you do with your eating last month? What can you do differently in July? I wasn't really focusing on my food but it did get better as the month progressed. In this month, I will pay more attention to fruits and veggies. It has always been easy to skip them but I plan to really focus on them in July and going forward.
There are lots of challenges out there that you can join. If you need a push or a kick in the butt, look for a challenge or 2 to join to get you motivated and challenged to push forward.
If you feel like you have been slacking a bit in an area or 2 or more, maybe try blogging about it and sharing what you are working on and what your daily progress is. This will keep you accountable.
If you have dropped the ball and taken a detour from your journey, this is the perfect time to get started again! Set your goals, make your plan and get going.
