Back after a long absence, back both to Spark and a healthier lifestyle. Next winter I shall focus on avoiding the slump which comes from lowered temperatures, lowered spirits, lowered morale.
On looking back I see I am still taking on too great a workload. This eats into "me" time, creates unhappiness within the home as I feel I have not time nor energy to do housework regularly.
Worst of all it creates resentment in me that I am too tired to write as well as I would like.
This year I solved the problem by moving my interests to non-fiction. I have written approximately two human interest stories a month, allowing me to meet local people with unbelievably wide-ranging interests and life histories.
I write regularly for my local newspaper, have been accepted as a member of the Garden and Hearth team for Travel Europe and this month I have signed up for two online writing classes.
All I have to do now is regulate my eating. Binge time has moved from evening --I'm OK then because I'm too full to eat one more thing :-( )-- to the gap between coming home from work and starting on animal tea-times.
To be solved today by eating a proper lunch --watch this space...
