It's just another day in paradise!

Wednesday, August 15, 2012

I've been reading blogs today and see so many people hurting from something someone else has said or done. Has me reflecting on this for quite a bit.

The truth is that absolutely no one in the world should change your opinion of who you are. It is their opinion. We all have the power to accept or reject their opinion. We can't change their thoughts. We can only change how we react.

That is the truth but it is so hard some days. Just as we all make choices of what to eat and when to exercise, it is no less important that we opt to be around positive people who help us make those correct choices. We all have people in our lives that work to make us feel less than we deserve. We certainly don't need them on this website tho. We are all here to try to help ourselves through a community of caring individuals. I read on someone else's blog today that someone had been bashing her. I just cannot understand that type behavior.

So - with all of the other things I work on - I am going to make a pledge to try to always be kind. Just that - Be Kind. emoticon

I agree!!! life is so hard as it is, we don't need others to make it harder by giving us a hard time. I know on the internet some people will say whatever they want because we can't go to their house and fuss at them face to face. They feel safe on the web. And most times we don't even know who they really are. I know everybody has a bad day. Everybody gets in a bad mood. but you don't have to share it with anybody. You can close your mouth, get off of that site ........ or as I tell my daughter .... "go to your room and leave us alone."
I don't understand why grown people are so hateful to each other. I understand kids. My daughter's problems was hormones that she could not control. But she has learned to be quiet when she is feeling that way.
Are adults so worried as being seen as weak if they show some compassion? I don't believe I have ever said anything mean or unpleasant to anybody on here. (now on facebook, I used to get into arguments with my cousins all the time until I unfriended them.) But here? where we are all trying to do the same thing? ..... no never. This is hard enough with out having to belittle somebody because of what ever. I don't have to be nasty just because I don't agree with you, I can choose not to comment and let it go. I can turn off the site.
Sorry I kind of got on my soap box.
