Whew! Remembered what I wanted input regarding

I was going to ask about 1% milk vs nonfat.

On vaca I had to get 1% or DS wouldn't have milk with his cereal. We did cereal, milk & fruit instead of splitting a McDonald's Big Breakfast. Woot! for us. We saved splurge meals for dinner only instead of 3x a day.

Anywho... I don't like milk, at all, but because of Spark I added it back for a healthier diet. Welllll 1% fat milk actually tasted good. WHAT? DID? I? JUST? SAY? Milk tasted good!
Someone is messing with my head.

So I figured some fat in my milk might be a good thing because then I would actually drink it- instead of buying the ff, wanting to drink it, but in all actuality throwing it out since I couldn't get around to drinking 8 glasses before it expired.

Then last week I saw an article (blog I think) that was titled something like 10 things not to eat fat free. Milk was listed as one of the things to drink with some fat so that the Vitamin D can actually be utilized by our bodies.

I think it so neat (nice, cool) to get an affirmation of something I was looking to change! I'd still love anyone's feedback in addition to this article.

    I didn't see that article. I get the FF stuff but since it doesn't like me, I use milk sparingly and usually with a dose of Lactaid. I loved milk growing up. I miss it.

    That was a great idea to do b-fast healthy in your room and save the splurge for later!

    I saw a program on uk tv a while back, about the fat in cows milk stopping the body from absorbing other fats. Apparently milk drinkers are slimmer than non milk drinkers, and they actually tested these volunteers poo, ( yes really) for its fat content!! Which was far higher than that of non milk drinkers. I'm afraid I use 5% fat milk. I think the low fat stuff is disgusting and I won't use it. And it hasn't stopped me loosing 25lbs.

    I love milk, I hope I will not get allergic to it! Didn't know that milk can't be consume fat free.

    Yeah, I saw the article too and was surprised. I've been drinking 1% since it became available - love milk, but could never stand fat-free.

    I read that article too! Good for you being able to enjoy milk again. It doesn't matter to me fat free or 1%. 1% milk doesn't add too much fat to your daily intake.
