That's my new motto. Some days you are really not feelin it, but you need to do it anyway. USUALLY, at the end you are really glad you did.

This morning I really didn't want to get out of bed and really, really, really, really didn't feel like running. I was walking out the door and still didn't want to, but I told my little dog/running partner "Let's just do this" (sigh). Then, just to ice the cake, halfway to the park I realized I forgot my Gymboss interval timer, so I needed to use my watch for intervals.

My current strategy for weekday workouts is: (walk 5 min) (run 4 min / walk 1 min for 40 min) (leisurely cooldown/walk back home). That last part is my favorite. I call it my dessert time.

As usual, once I got started it wasn't too bad. I tooled along at a good pace. In fact, when my Garmin went off to tell me the 40 min workout time was over, I was surprised because for some reason, I had it in my head I was doing 45 min this morning. emoticon I COULD have done another 5 min. Did I? No. I gleefully started my dessert. emoticon

In the end, I was really glad I pretended I was a runner and did my planned workout.
